Today, tomorrow, next week, next year

I'm posting because I just can't get into the book I'm currently reading; Richelle Mead, Shadow Kiss. It's not your fault Richelle, I'm at work and it's noisy (surprizingly), and I can't focus.

Anywho, I really should be calling people for shelf holds, but I'm just lazy and want to sit here and go on the computer and talk to Stefan. (HEY!!!!!!!! I know you're reading! Don't deny it!)

Yesterday, I can honestly say was the laziest day of my life. I got up around 11:30 am (yes, I missed school because I didn't get to bed until 4 am.), and then I just watched movies, and looked at Twilight reviews for the rest of the day.

In case you were wondering, I watched 21, and Leatherheads (with sigh, George Clooney). They were pretty good. Nothing epic...but good nonetheless.

I'm planning on watching What Happens In Vegas (yeah I didn't watch it the other day). That should be good. My hermano told me it sucked, but what does he know?? I like basically anything. I'm easy to please I guess you could say.

I think I'm going to go to lunch now. Hunger's kicking in.

My Review

I'm sure you're all dying to hear my review of the largely anticipated movie: Twilight.

I would give Twilight 3 out of 5 stars. I'm in the middle with this movie. I know everyone has preconceived ideas on how the movie should have been...blah blah blah, but I mean, I did like it.

I do think, however that the directors/producers and whatnot did a great portrayal of the romance between Bella and Edward.

A lot of the parts we're very funny. Little comments that Edward made; funny, cute, sweet.

Although, I just could not get past the facial expressions of some of the actors (cough Robert Pattinson cough) did. Wait. Who said that??

I found my self laughing at some of the most serious parts of the movie. "Omg, Holland. Did you just see his face???"

Don't get me wrong. Robert Pattinson is beautiful. A lot of the moments of him and Bella together made me jealous of course.

The facial expressions just didn't work for me.

And to tell the truth, at one point I was thinking..."Umm...I'm kinda bored." (and I felt bad thinking that because I had been waiting a long time to see it...I shouldn't have been bored!!!)

At the end of the movie, there was clapping..but it wasn't the hooting and hollering that I expected and heard at the beginning of the movie. Everyone just got up and

All in all, I thought it was pretty good. Everyone again, has their own ideas of what the movie should have been like because each and everyone of us imagines books in different ways. Edward in my mind didn't do so many facial expressions...idk.

Anyways, those are my thoughts, not yours.

I do recommend seeing it though. It's got romance, adventure, mystery. A great combo.

Procrastination

Procrastination is a very addictive, horrible thing.

I'm sitting on my laptop, thinking, 'I definitely should be doing Pre-Calc right now and studying so I don't fail my test tomorrow.'

I really should. But, lets see, it's 6 o'clock now...I'm going to be eating dinner in approximately 15 minutes, I will eat for approximately 15 minutes; that gets me to 6:30. Then I will jump in the shower, for approximately 10 minutes or less (I can take a fast shower), which brings me to 6:40 (give or take a few minutes).

SO which brings me to about 1 hour and 20 minutes to study pre-calc, AND have enough time to watch a movie, preferably What Happens In Vegas for 2 hours and then, in bed by 10:20, 10:30.

I have time, right??

Hopefully.....

Depressing

I went shopping today, armed with a $50 gift card to Target (thanks again Holland!) and came home with a new super red purse (love it!) and a little something we don't like to call, depression.

I 'tried' on clothes, and nothing looked good. I was SO mad when i got home, that i ran downstairs and worked out for an hour. I feel like crap (well now i don't cause i just got home from a 30 min walk) about myself. I don't feel 100% and i should.

I have been eating good though. Except for some pop and a little bag of Famous Amos cookies....oh and some of a cinnabun.

But still, the point is, i want to feel better about myself, and that can't be accomplished with me sitting around all day, eating cookies, and drinking pop.

I vow to eat better, work out regularly, and try to gain more confidence in myself.

-dana-

ps. it is freakin' cold out. it's rainy and freezing. like i said, i just got home from a walk, and i thought my ears were going to fall off. Really, really.

Creativeness

I'm sitting at work at the moment.

And my creative juices are flowing.

And I want to write, but I can't because what I was writing yesterday is on my laptop AT HOME.

SO, I have to sit here for another 2 hours until I get to go home for the day.

Today was not very productive. Lets see. I came to work early in the morning. I discharged books, wrote down holds. Then my co-worker Erica wanted me to stamp millions of books (okay, not millions, but there were a lot and it took me like 4 hours to finish them with interruptions. Now, I'm sitting here. My back hurts, my feet hurts, i'm hot.

I just wanna go home.

:(

I don't even know

I don't know what to blog about today.

Maybe i'll just blog whatever comes to mind.

....

I don't even know.

Maybe i'll talk about the book(s) that I am reading at the moment. Yeah, I know it's terrible, but i'm currently in the process of reading 3 books. They're good ones though....

I'm reading Glass Houses by Rachel Caine (i think), Fancyfree and Footloose (i think that's what it's called by some author i don't remember either), and a Charmed book by some author. Hah...wow, I have a crappy memory.

I read one during school, the other during work, and i actually haven't cracked open the other for weeks. I put it in my living room a while ago, and now there's a nice coating of dust on the cover. That's probably not a good sign. I hate starting books and never finishing them though. It makes me feel, like, not a failure, but i don't know..incomplete?? I'll NEVER know what happend in the end unless i start reading it again later.

For instance, for the book club at school, we had to read Jodi Picoult My Sister's Keeper, and i felt soooo bad because i just COULD NOT for the life of me get into the book and read it..(sorry Jodi!). Realistic fiction about a girl with lukemia just isn't my kind of reading. Anways, i couldn't finish the book, so i ended up skipping to the last few chapters (or pages cause the chapters were really short) and the end was so sad and horrible.

So yes, i hate not finishing books, because i'll probably miss something really good in the end.

Quick change of subject, the Piston's are playing tonight. I think against the Denver Nuggets.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY TRADED BILLUPS AND MCDYESS FOR ALLEN IVERSON. I'm sorry, but A.I. is a little drama queen; always falling all over the court, trying to draw fouls. It's rediculous. But i better start liking him because he's here to stay for a while.

I just won't be happy about it........

Well games starting!!

:)

Happpy Halloween!

Sorry, I haven't posted in a while.

Busy, busy, lazy, busy. Haha.

Well, to catch up on the news, which really isn't all that much....except that it's HALLOWEEN!

Halloween is so fun and festive. People dressed up for school. I saw a Scooby Doo (he was this HUGE kid wearing this skin tight Scooby outfit, and it hugged the WRONG places lemme tell you), Thing 1 (or 2?), Ninja Turtles, Vikings, John McCain, Sarah Palin, Bumble Bee, lots of cats, a washing machine (seriously..), and lot's others. The Ninja Turtles won the costume contest. They were pretty sweet.

I'm going over my friends house later and handing out candy to the kiddies with him. I'm pretty excited. I've never handed out candy before. And seriously, if I see any kids over the age of 14, I'm not giving them jack. Sorry, but you too old. Go home.

:) xox

Happy belated birthday me!

Happpppppy Birthday me. :-)

Yesterday was my birthday! It was lovely. I had some family over and a few of my friends and we had a good 'ol time. And I talked to some old friends whom I haven't heard from much at all in the past few months, so that was cool/interesting all at the same time. But it was fun nonetheless.

:o)

Hmm. OH I got the new book by P.C. Cast- Untamed. I'm only on chapter 4 (?) and I love it so far. And I also read (I can't think of the authors on the top of my head) Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist (yes, it's a book and it was super good) and James Patterson Sunday's At Tiffany's. That one was so romantic and lovingly lovely. It made me feel good. I like those kinds.

But I've been catching up on a lot of reading these past 2 days. I've been getting really lazy lately, ordering million's (not literally) of books and then not reading them. BUT, I'm slooooowly going through them now.

xoxo

Whoaa

So this week has def. been a whirl.

The city I live in received terrible news this morning, that one of my schools students, very unfortunately had his life taken from him last night when he was hit by a car while walking across the street. You don't know Vince, and I didn't either even though he was in one of my classes, but please, keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. RIP Vince P. 10-8-08

Oh a higher note, my birthday is tomorrow!!!
How exciting.
Some families stopping by as well as my some friends and we're gonna eat cake and be merry.
Doesn't that sound just great??
I made it through another year. Go me. :-)

Other news, other news....
Hm..well I really can't think of much.

Oh, I have finally started kicking my butt and making myself work out. So I've kept it up for the past week and a half (knock on wood). Again, Go me. :-)

...Loooooooove

Happy October!

Happy October everyone (even though I'm a day late)!!

And while it just basically turned into the fall season a few days ago, the temperature in good 'ol Michigan is freeeeezing.

I have been bundled up all day. Tomorrows high is going to be 56 degrees, and I'm already regretting going to a football game. I'm going to have to definitely wear layers, and bust out my shoes!! Sorry flip-flops..you have been very good to me.

Other news, the V.P. Debate is on tonight, and I'm planning on watching SOME of it. I would like to go to bed early tonight to try and catch up on some shut eye.

I took this quiz on ABC.com : http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/MatchoMatic/fullpage?id=5542139
and it matched me up with McCain. While McCain isn't a terrible Presidential Candidate, I also like Obama. I wish there was a McBama....

Last night I stupidly left my contacts in and I woke up around 4am with my eye's pasted shut. It was very interesting. I had to get out of bed, and rip them out of my eyes so they wouldn't stick in the morning. Just an interesting little fact to share. :-p

Tomorrows Friday! Finally.
Another week has past.

TGIFT. (thank gosh it's friday tomorrow)

Title less

I got bad news today...

My aunt got hit by a car while riding her bike today in FL. :(
But THANK GOD, she's okay. Just really bruised up and she had to get stitches on her knee. Some young teenyboppers were talking and not paying attention while driving, and they hit her.

PAY ATTENTION WHEN YOU DRIVE.
YOU COULD GET IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT AND KILL YOU OR SOMEONE ELSE.

Other news, I did my first Family Story time at work last night. I was really nervous because it was going to be in front of almost 20 little kids AND their parents. So I was a bit freaked. BUT, I got through it, read my Halloween stories, danced, did a craft, and lived to tell about it. :-p

OH, and other BIGGER news, my birthday is in exactly 10 days.
Ahh, almost another year older.
WHERE DID IT GO?! Jeeze.

Well, I'm going to go snuggle with a book.

Love.

Saturday at the library

Well, today I had to work from 9am-5pm. It wasn't that bad actually. I cleaned and stamped books for about 6 hours straight so it made the work day go by very fast.

I also have a new found love for Timmy Ho's donut holes (or wholes?). One of the girls at work brought in a whole container thing of them (chocolate, plain, and blueberry) and we flocked like seagulls to them and scarfed them down.

I'm also still sick. First I had a cold, and then it turned into a pretty lovely cough. So I drank lots of coffee this morning and now I'm sucking on a Ricolla - Honey and Lemon flavor. It tastes kinda..odd..although, all cough drops aren't very good...except for Halls Fruit Breezers. Those are like candy. I need to get some of those guys....

Officially, my birthday is in.....1 week and 6 days! Finallly. Seriously. All of my friends are older than me. I feel like a kiddie.

More later.
Much love.

Greys Anatomy!

The Grey's Anatomy premiere is on on in exactly 7 minutes.

I'm super excited for the new season. I (as well as so many other fans) have been waiting for FOREVER for the new season to start.

And it's finally here.

The only thing i'm pissed about for the new seasons of shows coming on is that Lost starts sometime NEXT YEAR!

I'm sorry, but I love that show.

And keeping me hanging for this long is TORTURE.

Okay. 5 minutes till.

4....that's probably super annoying...SO i'm going to go.

Everyone should be watching at 9!!!!!!

Moody

I'm really not in much of a mood to blog at the moment.

Today was long and hot (I worked outside all day).

And now I'm watching the Emmy's but my t.v. keeps messing up the picture and sound.

Errrg. Today hasn't been the best day ever.

More tomorrow. :o)

Travel

So today was filled with very interesting stories and people...but I won't bore you with my blab's about that.

Instead, I feel like blogging about travel.
Yes, travel.

I haven't done much traveling in my lifetime (a whole 16, almost 17 years in 20 days). I have I guess you could call them goals in travel that I want to reach before I leave the earth.

I suppose i'll make a list of places all over the world that I want to visit off the top of my head:

1. Paris, France
2. Venice, Italy
3. Key West, Florida
4. London, England
5. Berlin and Munich, Germany
6. Athens in Greece
7. The Amalfi Coast, Italy
8. New York, New York
9. Hollywood, California
10. Ireland
11. Madrid, Spain
12. The Great Barrier Reef
13. Honolulu, Hawaii
14. Rome, Italy
15. Amsterdam (Anne Franks House)
16. Auschwitz

I can't think of any others at the moment.

But I want to travel A LOT when i'm old enough to go with a friend or someone I know. I would never go by myself. It's much too dangerous. But I would love to just travel all around Europe for a year. That would be amazing. Sure it'll probably be expensive, but it's a once in a lifetime thing. You're probably never going to see those places ever in your life (unless you have the time/money to travel whenever you wanted).

Oh and other news, my favorite band of all time the Shiny Toy Guns are coming to a city near me in October and I REALLY want to go. Tickets are only $15, but it's on a Sunday at 9PM. SO, I probably won't be able to go. :(

Maybe next time.....

Sick

I hate being sick.

Wednesday, I got the beginnings of a gnarly cold. Now it's Friday and I'm still stuffed up. So I thought it would be best to stay home from school and try to rest and get better. I just took some Dayquil so hopefully that'll help me breathe.

On Wednesday, my friend Holland and I joined our schools new Book Club. It seems like it's going to be a lot of fun. The first book we're reading is Jodi Picoult My Sister's Keeper. The librarian at the Media Center is buying books for everyone since I guess she gets them cheaper. So we're going to do some fundraising to help pay for the books. I've never been a part of a book club before. Hopefully I enjoy it!

Well, i'm gonna go rest and watch We Own the Night. Mark Walberg is super hot. ;-)

Busy busy busy

Hey all.
I have blogged in a few weeks ( =O ) but i'm here now.

These last 2 weeks have been SO busy. First, I started school. Then I had to work basically everyday after school (it's terrible). And then this weekend, I went on a mini-vacation to Mears, MI for a BBQ Competition with my family. AHH. I need to calm down and relax. I feel like i've been rushing everywhere these past weeks.

Anyways, yes, I started school finally. I'm in to my 3rd week. I already have a decent amount of homework which i'm incredibly angry about. But technically, I usually only have homework in 2 classes (physics and pre-calc)...of course. I strongly dislike science and math with a fierce passion. It's just not my thing.

Work work work. Last week I had to work Mon-Thursday 4-closing because I was taking Saturday off (to go on my vacation) and I had to make up my 8 hours. But thankfully, i'm going back onto my old schedule from now on and i'll have more days when i'm home and can get my homework done early.

Mears, MI. I love me some Silver Lake. That's where we went this weekend. They started a BBQ Competition/Apple Festival 3 years ago (we've been to all 3 so far), and it's a ton of fun. They have great bbq food and music and great activities and it couldn't be located in a more beautiful part of MI. Although, weather somewhat put a damper on it. Friday was nice. It was cloudy but thankfully no rain. Yesterday, though, we spent a few hours staying inside because it was raining out. But after about 2 in the afternoon, the rain let up and we got to walk around and look at the craft tents and watch the BBQ Competition winners. It was a good time. I wish I could have stayed up there longer...but unfortunately, I have school and work. :(

OHH! And other great news.....I BOUGHT A LAPTOP TODAY (i'm typing this on my new baby as we speak....). It's beautiful. It's a HP Pavilion. It came with a printer/scanner and a sweet Swiss Gear laptop backpack. It was a great deal. I'm so happy. :):):):):)

Well, I better be off to bed.

This weekend/today

So, there really isn't any new news with myself.

Except that I STARTED SCHOOL TODAY. My final year as a high schooler is already underway. I can't believe it's already here.

But before I go onto my school day, this weekend was seriously the laziest weekend of my life. I wanted to veg out as much as possible the last few days before I went back to school. So I definitely did. I did, however, do some much needed shopping on Monday. I bought: 3 lovely shirts, 1 oversized fleece blanket (LOVE IT), 1 pair of blue polka-dot sleeping shorts, 1 WWF tote bag where $2.00 from the purchase of the bag is donated to the World Wildlife Fund, 1 pair of capri pants, and 1 messenger bag for school. All in all, i'm pretty happy with my purchases.

Yesterday was spent watching re-runs of the Janice Dickenson Modeling Agency show. Talk about tough love. She tears most of her models to shreds. I would be crying all the time if I were one of her models. Yikes!

Okay, back to school. I suppose my classes a good. I've got lunch with people I know (thank God!) and I think it'll be a good year. Although, thanks to the LOVELY MICHIGAN WEATHER, it was about 98 degrees today (I checked on my car)! So classes were stiffling hot and I just wanted to take a long nice cool shower when I got home. But I couldn't, because now i'm at work.

Tomorrow's suppose to be cooler though....so pray for lower temperatures!!!!

My Car/Last night

I love my car.

I've had it for lets see...4 months? Jeeze, it seems like i've had it WAY longer.

^That's my car (and some houses on my street). My 2009 Toyota Corolla S. I'm so proud of it. :-)

I actually need to wash it today. It's pretty dirty. And vacuum too. I hate having those little pebbles all on the mat. I think I have car OCD or something. It always needs to be clean.

Last night was interesting. My friend and I hung out. Well, my friend and I have somewhat of a "history". A whole lotta junk happened 2 years ago and well, now we're pretty good friends despite all of it. (I know...i'm stupid. I'm WAY too forgiving). Well, last night was fun and all, but when he brought me home, all's I can say is: awkward. He said that he was "conflicted" and I was just like, "Please, don't be. I don't want what happened 2 years ago to happen again." ALL IN ALL, it was bad. And so now, i'm not going to talk to him, much. BECAUSE, I refuse to go through what happened 2 years ago ALL OVER AGAIN.

Well, I think i'm gonna go wash my car now.

Friday's

Today is Friday.
The last Friday before i'm back in school.

Today's weather is also very crappy. I woke up around 9 and wanted to go for a nice walk, but I looked outside and the ground was all wet. So I thought,
I'll wait a little bit and see if it clears up. Well I did, but unfortunately, wet and a bit cool turned into humid and 84 degrees. Which is sad because I really wanted to walk but I really hate when it's hot out. So I guess i'll do it tonight with my Mom.

My friends coming over in a little bit and we're going to try and find college scholarships. I can't believe how expensive some of these colleges are. I'm gonna be in dept my whole life! Hopefully we can find some scholarships an
d apply and hopefully win and get money. That would be just lovely.

That's totally me right now because I start school on Wednesday. That means lots of studying, homework, and tests. I'm really not happy about that. My first semester shouldn't be all that hard though. Here's my schedule. Bolds my first semester classes and italics are my second.

1.
Altern. Jewelry
Government
2.
Nutrition-Foods 1
College Writing
3.
Western Civilization
Contemporary Reading
4.
Economics
Pre-Calculus
5.
Physics
Physics
6.
Pre-Calculus
Nutrition-Foods 2

So I guess it's an OK schedule. I suppose it'll be fun. I don't know. Guess i'll have to see when I start Wednesday. :(

Work

I'm at work.

Good 'ol work.

I get off in approx. 1 hour and 43 minutes. I've been here since 9 am.

Today hasn't been very eventful, except for the daily crazy person who comes in claiming "I don't owe those fines! It wasn't me!!" Sure. Somebody took your card out of your wallet, checked something out, kept it, and then slipped your card back into your wallet after they proceded to keep the items they checked out so then you would get some fines for it. That sounds totally plausible. OH, but wait, "You guys don't have surveillance cameras here so you can't see if I checked out that DVD!" Only a guilty person who's conjured up a plan to say that would have actually said that. *sigh*.....the public......

So I have been reading for the past 3ish, maybe 4 days, the Princess Diaries series by Meg Cabot.

First of all, I LOVE MEG CABOT!!!!!!!! Sorry, just have to yell it out. I have read so many books by her, and she is absolutely hilarious. Anyways, I was really, really dissapointed that the Princess Diaries movies wasn't ANYTHING like the book. 1. Mia's Grandma or Grandmere is really mean and I hate her. 2. Mia gets her first kiss by Josh before a dance, not in a warehouse on the beach. 3. Her dad is totally alive still. The list could go on and on. I know the movie is BASED on the book, BUT COME ON! You could at least make SOME of it like the book. Jeeze.

Okay, well i'm done venting/ranting. I should probably stop typing and help crazy patrons get books!

-dana-

OUCH

I'm at work at the moment, and i'm having some killer cramps going on. I want to lay (or lie?) down and sleep and never wake up.
But unfortuantely, it's almost 3 o'clock and I don't get off work until 5. SO that means 2 more hours of suffering.

Although, there hasn't been many people coming in here getting books, so I haven't been running around much. I'll just sit here. And not do anything. For 2 more hours.

OKay, I know....stop complaining....there are starving children in Africa. OK.

ANYways, I start school in a week and a day. It's really sad. This morning, I was looking at our HUGE, and I mean HUGE college major books and this one called The 300 Best Careers or something like that...and I really don't have an exact idea on what I wanna do with my life. I mean sure, i'll probably figure it out when i'm in college, but i'm kinda flipping out because i'm afraid I STILL won't know what I want to do, and then i'll have to go to MORE college depending on what I want to do. (whoa, that was a longggg sentence). So yeah. Maybe an idea will strike down upon me within the next year, and i'll know what I want to do. But for now, i'm pretty much clueless.

in pain and clueless,

Backkkk

Okay. So i'm back.
"It's been a long time...." like that song by Rock & Roll by Led Zeppelin.

Anyways. I was at work today, and the lady I work with Sandy, was showing me her daughters blog, and I decided that I needed to keep up on mine. Even if no one reads it, my thoughts are out there for the world to see.

Work was very long and busy today. I had to copy all the obituaries of deceased people who lived in my city. I went to copy one and I lifted up a part of the copy machine (never do that btw) and it jammed the paper inside of it and messed everything up. SO I had to get Dan the Handy Man (our computer wiz) to help me fix it. And he did....so yay Dan!! You're the best!

I had to help many people find books and get movies and blah blah. And ughhhh. One of our regulars over at the library, Bev, well she likes to come into the library, get what she has on hold, go home, and THEN call us (mind you after she's already been into the library) and try to put holds on oh, about a thousand other items. OF COURSE, when she called today, I just happened to answer. So I was stuck on the phone with Bev for about 15 minutes, putting holds on her card for her, and getting books she wanted. Nobody likes Bev. And I mean NOBODY. Whenever she calls (we have caller ID) nobody wants to pick it up. Except one of us WILL....because we HAVE to. But who says that....we could have been too busy to answer or something.....

So i'm definitely excited for the next book by P.C. Cast to come out: Untamed. I JUST finished Chosen and i'm in House of Night fever let me tell you. Only 29 more days. I have to find out what happens to Zoey and Erik. They should be together....they must be together. I get it first I think too when it comes out. Jeeze, working at a library sure does have it's perks, besides no overdue fines. :-)

What else is new? Well I start my senior year in a week and 2 days. Can you believe?? My last year of high school....my last year of freedom basically. :-p Naw, i'm excited to get out of high school and begin my life. It's invigorating.

Well, i'm gonna head off. Talk to my peeps before I start another book.

Night night.

Living

I want to move.

I mean i can't....now. I'm still in school...but still, i wish i could move. Michigan's a nice, pretty, state. But i want more than that. I want adventure, and fun. I would love to move to New York City. I know that's i don't know, kinda sterotypical if that's the right word, but still. I don't care. I think it would be amazing to live there and take in the skyscrapers and everything that has to do with NY.

The other day, i ventured into Detroit for the annual TasteFest...or now known as the CityFest. Before we got to the actual fest, we drove through the city with all the tall buildings and nice little parks, and i felt like i was in New York. (definitely not as busy as NY though). I was looking out the windows of the car, and up into the sky, staring at the huge skyscrapers. I loved it. I wanted to live in it.

I think i'm taking a trip to NY in the next year or so. I'll check out what the city has to offer and if it would fit me.

Saturdays

So it's Saturday, and it's been a good day so far.

This morning I weighed myself (i've been eating well this past month or so) and I lost 2 more pounds, which puts me to a 13 pound loss! I was very excited. I thought I wouldn't loose anything because I had cake and some crap this week. But i'm very happy and grateful I lost 2. :-)

While watching My Big Fat Greek Wedding, amazing movie i'm sure you know, I made myself a change purse! My wallet isn't huge, so the change in the little back compartment was bulging out. So I made a cute, little cow print change purse. I had th
e extra material laying around. Here's a picture:It's a kinda dark picture, but you can still see it good. I love it!

Restart

Hello blog world. I'm Dana . :-)

Now that we've met, i'm just going to dive in.

So i'm sitting here on my computer, listening. There's fireworks going off in the distance. At first, I was fooled, thinking it was thunder. But nope, just fireworks...2 weeks before the forth of july. The weather in good 'ol michigan (and everywhere around the great lakes) has been crappy. i haven't washed my car in weeks because one day it will be beautiful out, sun shining, lovely breeze and temperature, and then the next day, cloudy, cold, and raining. But I guess that's mother nature for you.

Today, I went to PetCo and this little pet shop called Critters with my friend Brendon. He wants to buy, get this, a chocolate chip starfish. We finally found them, after looking in the millions (exaggeration) of fish tanks, and it really does look like a cookie or something with chocolate chips on top. Here's a picture:

I've never heard of a chocolate chip starfish before. That's a interesting name for a starfish. We found him at PetCo. Brendon also wants to get a little Nemo fish too. They were really cute.

Then we went to the store Critters. It was a darling little store with the outside painted with fish and snakes and whatnot on the windows. Inside, holy macaroni. There's stacks and stacks of fish tanks with trillions of different colored fish. I've never seen anything like it in my life. They had really pretty neon pink and bright blue ones. They were beautiful. They also had a lot of birds, and little hamsters and mice, and turtles, and some snakes and lizards. This store had everything; or rather, everyone. I really wanted to see the dogs, so we went down a row with more fish and and at the end was the dog cages. Inside the dog cages, there was one dog. It was the cutest little puppy i've ever seen. He was semi-small, a light brown, and sad eyes. It reminded me of those Human Society commercials on tv, where they show the dogs in the kennels and they look like they're crying and the little boy comes by and pets the dog, and then just walks away. Those commericals just break my heart.

Anyways, I had to walk away from the little puppy (just like in the commercial :( ) and say goodbye hoping that someone, soon will come and adopt it. I didn't want to leave him, but i had to, otherwise, i would get too attached to him or her.

Well, that was what happened today. It was a good day.
